Because of the wet start to the day Saturdays Tournament was replaced by an enjoyable social morning of tennis with ample helpings of Bacon or vegi sausage baps and coffee.Everyone enjoyed the informal occasion and as a bonus the rain stopped and the sun came streaming through.Many thanks to the organiser Brett Tucker and head cook Mary Mackay.

Summer Review

The season is now in full flow and despite some inclement weather, the courts are being used quite frequently. The teams have now almost finished their matches with some limited success, partly due to the unavailability of players.
Congratulations go to our U15 mixed team who have won their league with 11 points. They lost only 5 sets in 6 matches and are looking forward to playing in Division 2 next season.
A single tournament was held on Sunday the 20th July. Many thanks to Brett Tucker for organising the event. It was exciting to see young David Ashcroft winning the tournament, which is good news for the future as we are producing some very good players.The Spring Quiz night had to be cancelled due to a low number of tables being booked but fortunately Mel is happy to run it in October.Please support these social events as we need the funds for further projects and events like the Quiz are such good fun.
The clubhouse floor has now been completed and looks very smart. thanks to Nick for his organisation. We shall be looking for volunteers for decorating in the Autumn. Once this has been done and a change of curtains will make the hall a very suitable venue to hire.

The Men's Doubles Tournament took place on Sunday 8th June on a beautiful sunny day.Robert Lucas & Teddy Bennett took on James Hales & Jeff Broadley in the final and won by 5-2.
